The Hives are another Swedish rock band. They’re loud, frantic, and fast. Very fast. Looking at their image, more often than not dressed only in matching black and white attire, the band certainly do not come across as being an incarnation of past punk-rock bands such as The Clash or The Sex Pistols. But that they are, only, if possible, louder (though I’m sure not as nasty). The Hives are joined with artists similarly ifluenced such as The Vines and The Strokes. After only two album releases The Hives released a “Best of” album, “Your New Favourite Band”, which was released to promote the band in the UK and US following a switch in record labels.
