Muse are well known for their visually pleasing and dynamic live performances. This performance from a 2007 show at Wembley Stadium in London is no exception. In fact, the band won the award “Best Live Act” at the 2005 and 2007 BRIT Awards, so it would have been a misrepresentation not to show at least one live performance. Please, turn the volume up.
“Plug in Baby” was the lead single of off the band’s second album, “Origin of Symmetry”, released in 2001. At the time, it was the band’s biggest hit to date. Going back to the Classical influences, their is a similarity between the beginning of the riff on “Plug in Baby” and Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue”. Yes, I referred to other sources for this snippet of fascinating information, but upon hearing the two I do hear the similarity. As MuseLive.com notes, Bach n’ Roll!
