Travis: The Invisible Band
Travis raged onto the UK music scene when their gritty debut album “Good Feeling” was released in 1997. Travis were previously named “Glass Onion”, after the Lennon/McCartney song on The Beatles White Album, but this was before lead singer and songwriter Fran Healy was a member. Healy joined the bad in 1991, and later quit art school to dedicate more time writing for what would become “Travis”. Travis would follow up on the success of “A Good Feeling” with a more melodic and downbeat record, “A Man Who”, which contained singles such as “Why Does it Always Rain on Me?” and “Driftwood”. Their third album, “The Invisible Band” was released in 2001 and Travis returned to critical acclaim, winning Best British Band at the annual BRIT awards. Sing, is the first track and single off of “The Invisible Band”, and achieved widespread success reaching the top ten in several countries.
