Ocean Colour Scene’s 1997 single is used in the opening sequence of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, a 1998 Crime-Heist film directed by Guy Ritchie. The single was take from the band’s album Marchin’ Already – an an album that knocked Oasis “Be Here Now” off of the top of the charts and prompting Noel Gallagher to declare OCS as the ’second best bad in Britain’. Gallagher was a big fan of Steve Craddock – OCS’s frontman, and the good humor was returned by Craddock, who is quoted as saying “it’s an honor to be described as Britain’s second best band, ahead of Oasis but behind the Beatles”.
