Wow. It’s not every day I can write about a song that is was regarded by the US Library of Congress as a National Treasure. And I have more good news, Nicholas Cage is nowhere in sight! The Grateful Dead released this treasure in 1970 on their album, “American Beauty” and this catchy tune has remained an American favorite ever since. It is a song that needs no introduction, everybody including their Granny’s Aunt has heard it, and it has featured in countless soundtracks, compilations and favorite song lists. I don’t think I need to write much more about such a great song!?
