Man – this song still sounds very fresh, yet, it is over 40 years old. Creedence Clearwater Revival released this in 1969, on what was possible their best album, Green River. It was CCR’s third album release, and first to make it to the number one spot in Billboard albums chart. It was a time when Southern Rock was the be all and end all, and CCR were leaders of the pack. “Green River” and “Bad Moon Rising” are two of the more well known singles released from the album. What I find interesting is how little has changed in the interceding forty years… the lyrics in the days of black and white TV remain just as true now as they did then. Some things never change.
