Ok, I will admit it. The only reason I posted this was to poke fun at the 80’s. It’s pretty difficult not to with the quality (lack thereof) camera work and effects (check out the tin-foil and mirror scenes), the trademark A Flock of Seagull’s choice of hairstyle, and the love of how to dress like a portable-sauna. Really. Did people actually wear these clothes in 1982? The video reminds me of a previous post by Blondie, where the fashion preference was to wear black garbage bags.

I will give this song some credit though – the synth beat is pretty darn good, and the song, if listened to without the video is above average. And I did learn something new today – I never even knew that a two octave keyboard existed until watching this video.

   Of course nobody else looked like that in 1982. That’s the point. They were ahead of their time.
