The original version of Under The Bridge, released in 1992, is one of my favorite Chili Peppers songs, but I couldn’t resists posting the literal version up today, after watching a few from other artist’s with my better half not too long ago. The emotional ballad describing the effects drugs had on lead singer Anthony Kiedis’ life was a musical side-step from the alternative-punk rock style of most their other work, and delivered the band to the mainstream audience.
