Them Crooked Vultures self titled debut album has had so much hype it’s difficult to find any music site on the internet that doesn’t reference this new phenomenon. The hype is there for good reason – “TCV” lineup is a trio of super-galactic proportions. Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) on drums, Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) on guitar and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) playing bass. A dream team equaled only to the roster of the U.S. Basketball team at the Olympics.

I’m loving the hidden funkiness of the 6th track from the album, “Scumbag Blues” – courtesy of Jones’ clavinet playing (listen around the 3 minute mark) and Dave Grohl’s vocals. Check back tomorrow for a second installment from Them Crooked Vultures.
