A funny thing hapenned to me the other day. I voluntarily listened to two whole albums by a female artist. A Fine Frenzy, a singer-songwriter who in the real world known as Alison Sudol, recently released her new album, “Bomb In A Birdcage”. Give it a listen if you get a chance, it’s (I’ll say this quietly) rather impressive – there is a lot of piano and Enya-ess melodies – something I would normally pass on, but for some reason, I felt entranced by this song. Is it because I studied Meteorology at school? Maybe – how many cool songs are there that includes so many weather-related terms? The poetic lyrics in Elements describe the emotional rollercoaster of a break-up – “If the sea should swallow up my house / I will turn my rooftop inside out / And the wind will be wailing / But I will be sailing faster”.

Reminds me of Dido a bit.
